 English as a Second Language, AUM について

  • オバン大学モンゴベリー(Auburn University at Mongtomery)のESL(English as a Second Language Program)は英語が母国語ではない学生たちが言語および作文能力を専門的に個人および学習的に向上させるように多くのESL課程とサービスを提供します。 集中英語プログラム、ESLコミュニティプログラム、English for Specific　 Purposes、IELTS Testing CenterとLanguage&Culture Instituteがあります。尚、AUM ESLはアラバマ州で唯一にあるIELTSセンター試験場です。 AUM集中英語プログラムに登録した全ての学生はAUM ESLを通じてIELTS準備班を受講することができます。 TOEFL試験も提供されます。オバン大学のモンゴメリーはUS News and World Reprtでアメリカ南方の一番良い大学の中の一つにThe Princeton Reviewからは一番良いビジネススクールに選ばれたそうです。 AUMの経営学科は、世界のビジネス校の上位1%にあります。 AUM学生たちは5つの他の大学で90個以上の分野の授業に登録することができます。

入学制度（条件付き）

  • TOEFL IBT 61、IELTS 5.5の点数が準備されていない学生はAUM語学研修を通じてIntensive English Program、AUGlobal's GLOB 0310レベルの授業まで終えたり、近いELS Level 112に条件部入学可能です。

プログラム

プログラムの説明

  • 授業フォーカス :
    AUM集中英語プログラム (IEP)は国際社会に模範的な英語トレーニングを提供しています。 コースは特に,留学生が学業,職業,そして私生活で成功するために必要なスキルを獲得できるように,英語を習得できるように設計されています。

    授業目標 : 16歳以上の学生に開かれているモンゴメリー(Montgomery)のESLプログラムにあるアーバン・(Auburn)大学は、各生徒の英語のレベルからスタートして英語を完全に習うという目標に到達するようにします。全てのESL学生たちはまず自分の現在の英語水準を決定し、必要な科目を把握するのに役立つ配置試験を受けます。コースは初級、中級,中級,中級、高級の5つのレベルで行われます。 学生レベルが決まれば科目選択を手伝うようになります。 ESLの授業は​​一般的に8人から14人の学生で構成され、8週間1年中行われます。 8週の期間から始めることができます。 学生たちは英語のクラス編成試験点数とスピーキング能力によって他のレベルに配置されます。

    レベル１Beginning & Low-Intermediate。
    レベル２Intermediate。
    レベル３High-Intermediate。

    8週単位で年間5回開講します。 すべてのIEPの授業は90分間持続されます。AUM ESLに着いたら学生達は無料の英語試験を受けます。 試験結果によって学生たちは類似の言語習熟水準を持つ10-14人の学生で構成されます。 

    IEP試験で少なくとも75%以上を受けるAUM ESLの学生たちは(IELTSまたはTOEFLの点数の提出なしで)AUMの入学のための支援資格が与えられます。
